Join Hoover PTA and help with our spring Walk-a-thon fundraiser on Saturday, May 15th  at the Lewis & Clark track from 10 AM to 2 PM.  Bring a minimum $5 pledge with you on the day of the event to get a free Hoover Husky water bottle.  Top pledge earners will qualify for other prizes at the final school assembly on June 11th.

Field day is on Thursday, June 10th this year, and we need lots of parents to volunteer to make it a safe and fun final celebration for our hard working students!!

 Bring your box tops and coupons in before May 14th! Campbell's Soup Labels and food Box Tops are ongoing fundraising for Hoover PTA that costs you nothing except the time it takes to cut off labels, save and give to your student's classroom teacher.  Twice a year the K-2 and 3-5 classes with the most box tops and labels earn an ice cream party for their class!
eScrip is a partnership with local businesses, Safeway & Albertson's,                         eScrip          where a percent of your purchases are donated directly to the Hoover Elementary PTA .  Sign up online using the eScrip link and start earning money to support the PTA Programs listed below.  It's an easy and free way to have family and friends help support our school with no added costs for anyone! 
The PTA Reflections Art Program theme for 2010-11 school year is:  "TOGETHER WE CAN..."    Students of all ages reflect on what this statement means to them and then create an art work from any of the categories:  visual arts, writing (narrative or poetry), photography, music or dance.  Deadline for submissions is early in December, so start now to work on your entry.  Awards are given at Eisenhower High School in January for the local competition.  Top winners in each category go on to state and national level competitions.

The theme for the 2011-12 school year will be "Diversity means..." for those of you who like to plan ahead!

The Hoover Elementary PTA sponsors the following events and programs at our school:

Back to School Party, Halloween Carnival, Family Skateland Nights, Field Day, Scholastic Book Fairs, Reflections Art Program, Accelerated Reader quizzes and prizes, Fall Food Drive for NW Harvest Food Shelf, Thanksgiving and Christmas family dinners and gift cards, student Husky folders for homework, student Husky t-shirts (semi-annually), Golden Acorn, Outstanding Educator and Advocate awards,Dr. Seuss' Birthday Party celebration, donations for classroom field trips, breakfast and lunch for back-to-school and National Educator's week for staff, and Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students).
